Dom is the Dom
Giada is the sub
Bobby is the cuckhold

I don't know what the deal is with Giada and I imagine you guys will differ with me, but I'll be glad when this show is over and I don't have to keep seeing her boobs once a week. Geez...
That was the best part about her cooking show. The episodes where she would wear a low cut shirt and bake things. Man, there was just something about the way she could work a rolling pin.

Yeah, I am completely disgusted by them. Replaying in slow motion just makes it worse.

I think they just film the pilots to be the cheapest things they can produce. Just grab 2 camera men and head to some restaurant within walking distance to Food Network Headquarters, since execs are choosing and not the public, it really doesn't matter what the pilot is.
Either that or these are just show ideas that Food Network has had on the shelf for a while, and this is an easy way to see how they play out to audiences.

I'll be sure to avoid that slo mo thing.
Her boobs may be the reason Dom gets tongue tied during his presentations.

Its clear that they have already decided on Dom and I honestly dont see that changing. Jay you killed it dude and you were clearly the best throughout the competition. I hope you take it home Jay, but I would be extremely surprised if anybody else but Dom wins it.
I actually think they're just giving Dom attention to keep him relevant. He'd be a nightmare in a live setting, even though it's obvious he can cook.
With Eddie falling off a bit in recent weeks, I think it's gonna be Jay's show. He's been by far the most consistent on camera and just about all his food (outside of gumbo & pigs in a blanket) has been spot-on. The catfish/etoufee dish looked delicious.
When the head of the network says you were basically "flawless" in your presentation, you're doing it right.
Jay has done a TREMENDOUS job with his Bite & Booze brand over the last few years, and the network can see that and they realize that he's simply an extremely likeable guy people will want to watch.

Agree with all of that. One other thing to point out, is that Jay is the only one that has never been in the bottom 3. To me, it just makes sense. Like you said, he has a pretty big brand and following already as well. Hard to think it's anyone else's at this point.

The "flawless" comment leads you to believe they love Jay and I think they do, but keep in mind that this show is edited and they don't like to give away the winner. That's what worries me about Jay winning.
Also, I have a feeling Eddie's presentation is going to be very good, but there's a big difference in doing the DDD gig and putting on a cooking show with a POV. I just don't see how the pilots are relevant if these guys are going to be cooking on a show.

This thing is Jay's to lose and from what they showed, His pilot taping was flawless too.
He did his introduction for his pilot one time and Rachael Ray just laughed and said "Perfect - there is no reason not to go with that."
His cooking is fine. He cooks stuff that is different from other shows currently on the network, and especially with a producer telling him what he will cook on the next show.
To borrow from Rachael, his camera presence is flawless. He seems to be a one take wonder. The pilot just showed the executives what he can do in front of a camera in a strange kitchen interviewing a strange cook.
Why haven't they chosen him already? That would ruin the last few shows. They are forced to make it look like there is still a contest or no one would watch and they aren't in business for people to turn to some other show because this one was settled with three shows left in the season.
Just my opinion - Dom would make the worst on air host in Food network history and the network is about what the food looks like and the host's performance on the show, since we can't taste what is being cooked on any of the shows.
A funny thing, Guy went to a place and just raved about their food. The wife and I were in the area later and stopped there. They had Guy's photos plastered all over the restaurant and the food was horrible. You would have never known it from what Guy said and the food looked just like what Guy showed on his DDD segment. Taste was way flat though.

I love DDD but you know damn well GF is tasting some real crap half the time. I wish he could just be totally truthful about if the food is good or if it sucks

When I grow up, I want to be a professional reviewer.

I'll settle for a star next to my name on Yelp!

You guys are so funny about all of this.
You talk about Giada and Bobby and their love of Dom, but I think some of you must be related or married to Jay (or want to be) based on your [love, hardon, boner-your various words not mine] for Jay.
If they put Jay in a Louisiana/tailgate show, I'd definitely watch it. He's the most camera ready by far. Very easy to watch and listen to. But I'm not going to tune in and watch a big guy eat fried food.
Dom is by far the weakest on camera, but he is the only one I'm learning anything from. I'd watch his show.
As they get to the end, I don't see myself watching Eddie.
As an aside, like someone said, if Matthew grows up a bit, I can see him being very good some day.

He only took a few bites in the pilot.

I'm not going to watch a show about a guy going around the country, eating, cooking, reviewing, or smelling fried food.
Not going to watch a show about fried food.
Unless Giada's boobs are involved. Then I will be too distracted to know it's a show about fried food.

If Dom wins, Giada's boobs may be involved.

If you think Bobby and Giada are making this decision, I have some mountain land in Houma I will sell you.
