I go to the one on Corporate probably once every three weeks, always get combo steak/pork with half the amount of beans. I always scrutinize the amount of meat, and most of the time they put enough to keep me happy on it.

That's another thing. You'll always get more meat when you order the combo versus a single meat.

So ordering two meats yields more meat?
Here's my shocked face

Bluebonnet location is bad too. They shred the chicken up so much and then give you hardly any, and jacked the prices up.
I don't go much anymore. I've heard good things about Chipotle. Hopefully they'll open soon.

Extra scoop for an extra buck or two. It's worth it.

Smartass. Steak = 75 cents, combo = 79 cents. Supposedly the same amount of meat, but 2 different kinds. Never works out that way, because they don't half the amount they'd typically give you.

CSB, Izzos' edition.
Big time fan of Izzo's and go probably 2-3 times a month. So I decided to try to order the exact same burrito that I get at Izzo's, but at a sit-down Mexican restaurant.
So I call up Casa Maria on Bluebonnet and ask if I can customize a burrito. Girl says well it depends what you want. So I said, beef, cheese, rice, corn, red onions, pico, and salsa. This apparently rocked her world, and sent her scrambling to find her manager. About 30 seconds later she comes back on and says it will be ready in 15 minutes.
When I got there and they handed me the bag I thought a bowling ball was in it. I mean really it was as heavy as a bag of 10 Izzo's burritos. So I got home, opened up the box, and found a hodge-podge of ingredients strewn about, with a tortilla hidden in there somewhere. I'd say about half of the ingredients I asked for were in there, with a few I didn't ask for thrown in. The chips and salsa in a separate box were legit, however.

According to whom exactly? That's not stated anywhere on the menu. Seems to me you made an assumption.

Go to La Tiendita on Siegen. Way better, way cheaper (and I am a fan of Izzo's).

Moe's coming soon. Only up charge is Queso and Guac.
I can tell you it really just depends on whos working. On a standard burrito, there's 3 oz of meat. If you want 6 oz you'll have to pay. The 3 oz's should be a heaping spoon full and enough with the rest of the fixings you put.

According to Ozzie, that's who.

My friend always hates going with me because I always get the generous worker who loads my burrito and he gets the conservative one that ends up being half the size. Just depends on whos making it

The girls were always more generous burrito makers than the dudes when I went
