I want to say I also heard Hickory, possibly by Winner's (where Suave Rd meets hickory)?

Well they are currently in a dump so I imagine they are moving to another one.

I'd imagine they would get a lot more traffic at either one of those locations.

Closer to my office means more patronage from me. I am happy about this move.

Wasn't that the first location of The Fat Hen?

It was Hummingbird Grill, then Fat Hen, then Byblos. Now, it's empty.

I don't know how the Hen is still open. There are never more than a couple of cars there.

I'm not sure why people are having a tough time at that Citrus location. Maybe rent is too high for anyone to afford it for long.

I'm surprised Hillbilly lasted at the current location although I guess there are a lot of apartment complexes around.

Might be time to head over for some brisket and ask them where they are moving to.

Being in a dump fits with the Hillbilly name, no?

I went during peak lunch about 2 weeks ago and there were 4 tables occupied.

kind of weird. The food is pretty good. The place before, Peliterie's, had decent food as well.

the only places around there that dont seem to struggle are Zeas and Taqueria Corona

How does The Shimmmy Shack do LE?

ETA: Phil's Grill seems to pack them in as well.

Because of my diet, I never tried it out but there were a few things on the menu that looked interesting.

I did read a pretty horrific review of the place either here or in the dining guide.

I think that Dockside does decent business and amazingly the Shimmy Shack always seems to have a nice crowd.

the hen really went down in quality after the move. I gave it 4 chances, and they lost my business. a shame to, because I ate lunch at the old location about once every 2 weeks

I don't like The Hen since the move either, although I've only been once to the new place. They should have stuck to the diner atmosphere and menu.

honestly ive never been

it never seems overly crowded. Then again their space isnt too big, so i guess they survive. I think they have video poker too, but not sure.

Phil has been doing good too , forgot about them

on another note, one of the guys from the Cellars of River Ridge split from them and just opened his own little place called The Ridge in the strip mall right behind the Cellars. Havent tried it yet.

Shimmy Shack survives as a bar, not as a restaurant

I figured as much. Their menu doesn't set the world on fire. In fact, about an hour ago I told my sister it seemed more like a bar than a food joint.
