Asked a priest this very question during Lent a few yrs ago.
His response: "Well, was the alligator caught in the water or on land?"
Me:
Then he told me it is not considered seafood.

Unless they have Jesus's blood in their epi pens, I'd ask an allergy specialist instead of a clergyman.

Not good advice anaphylactic shock is a thing to frick with at all. Food allergies can produce this response in a human body.
