I'm just trying to figure out If that ace hardware is that much better of a deal. I can exchange a tank at Wal-Mart for $15-16.

And those are 75% full?

yep.. unfortunately

you get more bang for your buck by just getting it filled. once you get if filled and you go ever exchange again... your going to be pissed because you will be able to tell a clear difference in weight

St Gab is way cheaper but further away.

Where in St Gabriel? If it's that much cheaper, it might be worth the gas savings driving out there to get multiple tanks filled.

the only thing you need to be prepared for is waiting for like 5-8 min. by the tank before someone comes out there. pisses me off

The store sucks

I went in there years ago to buy a new drill. Mine was just not what I needed for the task at hand. I go in and look around, guy asks what I'm looking for, I tell him I need to buy a drill, asks me what kind of man doesn't own a drill

Told him ok well I'll go spend the hundred something dollars at home depot. Have never been back

Hell, that's just as close for me then. I have 5 tanks in various places. I try not to let all 5 run out at the same time, but it seems like every time I'm gonna have a brew day, all of them are down to the last little bit.

yep sounds like some of the pretentious dropouts that work there!! I am only talking about one in particular who usually does the re-filling

If you get a #100 just get the propane company to come to your house and fill it.

Call and ask but I'm sure they would. My Uncle lives in rural Mississippi and has the propane company come out and fill his tanks. He has a 1,000 gallon tank and a couple smaller ones that he uses to boil seafood and for his grill.
