Their goat pepper fry is not on the menu but I tried it the other day. Probably the best goat in town.

Never even heard of that before, but it looks good.

How did you find out they had it? Was it a special or a secret handshake deal?

I just started eating Indian food myself. This is definitely the gateway dish.

It's the pad thai of Indian food, evidently. I almost always eat vegetarian when I eat Indian, because it allows me wife and I to share dishes (she's a vegetarian). As such:

Sag Paneer or Palek Paneer
Urad Dal
Chana Masala

Oh, and Garlic Naan, papadums, and samosas. Be sure to try the various chutneys (the cilantro/mint is my personal favorite and is super easy to make at home as well).

Just ask for goat pepper fry. The owner said they are considering adding it to the permanent menu as well as a mixed tandoori grill platter.

I thought that was a UK dish

It is. Chicken tikka is merely chicken dry-roasted in a tandoor oven, which is customary in authentic Indian cooking.

However, masala, meaning sauce or gravy, was adapted by Indian immigrants who settled in the UK once they realized how much gravy was a staple in British cooking.

At Bombay Dreams, the owner, Rajiv, is usually working the floor and is very helpful especially with adjusting the spice level to everyone's liking.

I called the place to get directions. The guy I talked to was Chinese. And I mean just off the boat Chinese. I assume he's working the cash register.

BTW, this place isn't in Benton. It's on Benton Road in Bossier.

It's on Benton Road across the street from Bossier Power Equipment and in the same strip building as the Cellar Wine shop, Wings and Rice and Pizza Hut. The sign is kinda hard to see and read from the road.

As far as a Chinese person answering the phone, that's kind of weird as I have never seen any Chinese staff in there. It's been about 3 weeks since I have been there so they may have hired one since then.

I called again today and just got a buzz...no answering of the phone. Tried again. I think this might be a situation where the place needs more tech help. Won't try till they are really set up and running.

According to Google, their hours are from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm for lunch and from 5:00 to 9:30 for dinner. You would think they would at least have an answering machine on for when they are closed though. Sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase.
