A few years back i went to a pop up in New Orleans. I think it was the purloo popup. At that dinner, which was pretty good outside the sardine plate, there was a white wine that was served with one of the courses. I remember drinking it and thinking that it tasted more like a red wine. It was full bodied, deep, and not so stone fruit forward. I want to say it was a Spanish wine but i could be wrong.

Anyone have any ideas?

ETA: Found the wine name, now need to find the wine.

Hmmm, once I saw sardines my mind went to Albarino but then your description brought me more towards a rioja blanco. Both pretty easy to find at any reputable wine shop. Try both and see which one it was.

I don't but I would call Swirl in NOLA and talk to the owner. She is very knowledgeable and has a unique palate which translates to what she carries in the store.

Swirl Wine Bar & Market

I don't think it was either of those. I'd know the name (maybe it was the vineyard rather than the grape) if i saw it.

FWIW i keep wanting to tampranillo, but i know thats not it. Maybe starts with an S and has a couple LLs in the description?

Anyone knows where i could find, or who to talk to, to find this wine, or another Semillon Sauvignon?

If it’s available a wine shop ought to be able to track down the importer. If they can track down the importer, they should be able to find the distributor. If they can find the distributor, they can get it in the shop.

Semillon is a French grape, it is often blended with sauvignon blanc in white Bourdoux blends. Had one I bought from Martin's a couple weeks ago.
