Muchie

He died 2 years ago but I just stumbled upon his Munchies short and it's pretty good. He was a smart guy and ran wide open. Lot of Ozersky TV out there that are good to watch for food and chefs.

And you are going to love Mr. Recipe.

Did he die of obesity or alcoholism?

I enjoyed the vid, thanks for sharing.

Had a seizure after helping host the James Beard awards and drowned in the shower of his hotel room in Chicago.

Here he is with Bourdain

And he wrote a book on hamburgers as well as not being a fan of vegetables .

I don't trust people that don't eat fruits and vegetables.

Had a meal with Ozersky one time at Osteria Morini in Manhattan. Probably the single most fun I have ever had a table. He essentially took over the kitchen and directed them on what to send out. That man had a love of fun that went far beyond our casual acquaintance with it.

I never met him but I read him for years including his books. He was a very smart guy and he rubbed some people the wrong way but I enjoyed him. His Ozersky TV was a cool snapshot. He loved New York and I enjoy watching his videos. Shame he died young because as well known as he was I believe he was on the cusp of really breaking out like Bourdain or Zimmern both of which were his friends.

He was able to stay pretty objective and honest. He had no heroes in the industry besides a good meal. I remember telling him where we were eating the next night and he said “that place sucks it will close soon.” He was right on both accounts.

All the big players at times loved him and hated him which tells me you are doing something right.
