Ichiban in Prairieville not a chip off block of original in BR

Service left a lot to be desired, actual sushi wasn't bad but their version of seasame chicken and fried rice was unlike anything I've ever had before and that's in a negative way. Was almost like fried chicken wings without the sweet sauce and the fried rice followed a similar pattern, but in this case undercooked with very little flavor that you traditionally get.
Waiter got our bill swapped with another ticket, overcharged us more than $7 but more painful than just the obvious mistake was the 20-25 minutes it took for the poor guy to get able rectify the situation which required a manager and prolonged our outing by more than an hour ... without a wait to get in.

I had it 3 weeks ago. It’s a decent alternative but as you say not as good as the BR. I did notice that it’s also not nearly as busy as the BR location.

we went once a few weeks after they opened. it was disappointing. the service was really slow and the hibachi food and show were not as good as BR.

I've been to the one in Gonzales a couple times for the Hibachi food. Honestly did not notice any difference in the food quality. Service and the cook were both great.
