This was sort of a new thing for me. I'm used to grilling with a gas grill. Grilling burgers, chicken; the only thing I ever really grilled that took a substantial amount of time was a rack of ribs.
So I got this new gadget and gave it a whirl. I cooked 2 racks of ribs (cut the slab in half and put both halves on these rib hanger things that came with the thing) and 5 chicken quarters in the deal. Also had some applewood chips in there to smoke them.
1 hour and 25 min and they looked like this. The last chicken quarter (the one in the center of the pic) fell apart as I was taking it off the grill grates.
The only thing I did was sprinkle Tony's on everything. Not liberally because of all the salt in it but a nice light dusting. Smells incredible.
I like this little thing!

I actually noticed the neighbor's had one but it didn't look like anything I've seen before. So I walked over and looked at it.
I knew about the Green Egg things and the Kamono smokers but this is smaller.
Turns out to be a thing called an Orion Smoker. Google it. I really like it.
The only drawback is that you have to use a lot of charcoal and it cooks things that normally would take a long time a lot faster. Not the best for cooking burgers and things like that.
But the ribs I got were buy one get one free and I bought a bag of chicken leg quarters and there you go.
All the meat is inside this stainless steel cylinder that's surrounded at the base by charcoal and the lid has a little holder for about 14 briquets.

I have one of these and I found the smoke flavor to be too strong...almost bitter. I had to cut the amount of chips I put inside way back.
Now, if you are simply roasting chicken in there with no smoke, then it is great. I think it just gets too hot and it doesn't allow enough air flow for a good smoker.
Clean up sucks too.
My opinion. I could be wrong.
