Are you too poor to buy them a fridge and microwave?

The greens are safe to eat.
I’m trying to imagine going to bed consecutive nights and saying, “Just leave the greens on the burner so they’re ready for breakfast.”

I was thinking the same thing. I couldn't imagine leaving them on all day much less three days and nights.

You don’t have to be a jerk. I’m dealing with two parents that are in their mid 80’s that are mentally not using good judgment. I nor my sibling live in the same state they do and we have to fly out west to visit them. Four months ago my parents mentally seemed okay. What I’m looking at right now is two elderly parents that no longer can take care of themselves safely and I’m taking care of it. Show some compassion with respect and the world would be a better place.

I feel your pain. Things can change suddenly and it's frightening. Leaving something on the stove on heat for days would cause me a great deal of concern for their safety. Best of luck to you in dealing with the situation.
