After a couple days you will start to have dead ones.

After 5 days you would have at least 30% dead loss.

It will also depend on how tight they are packed and how moist you are able to keep them. I think 5 days is a little long but I have never done this for a living.

FWIW I ate some last night for the first this year and they were yummy. The claws were still very very small but the the tails are starting to grow. I say the bigger the better.

The more the sack is pack the better, the crawfish will not dry out as fast.
