gonna have to try GiGi's for lunch one day...i love Chinese Dumplings
Best dumplings are at Lai Lai in Chinatown, we hit this spot for lunch a couple times a month.
Lai Lai Dumpling House
BaoZ has good dumplings to, they are in the shopping center food court downtown.

Is it a whole in the wall or a nice place?
Hole in the wall I guess....I mean it's not Tony's or anything, but it isn't some roach motel either. Just a smallish place, nicely decorated, also have a small market connected that sells Argentinian specialty items...candy, mate.

Where are those places in relation to the Galleria?

From your hotel-like 10-15 minutes max, hop on 610 south then 59 south. Exit Bellaire Blvd, take a right on Bellaire, Lai Lai is 2 blocks down, just past Gessner.

Don't think I saw Trulucks mentioned in any replies.... Not too far from galleria. I think it's a great moderately priced place to take the wife....
