Houston Restaurant Rec kind of near IAH

Have a 5 hour layover in IAH in a few weeks so going out to dinner with a friend. Any good recs that are within a 30 minute drive? Not too deep into downtown but maybe on the north side of downtown. He originally recommended 1/5Th, but it looks too far and would be cutting it close.
Flight gets in at 6:30 so should avoid most traffic.
