Is it any good? Skeptical because Pappas BBQ is very below average.

Killen's bbq is worth the 25 minute detour

If you're going there for bbq...don't.
It's a reasonable drive from my office in Pasadena for lunch.
The other items on the menu: steaks, sandwiches, fish were all pretty good.
They had a ridiculous restaurant week's menu, but they aren't participating this year.
This was all of course pre-covid...so I'm sure their menu is significantly reduced.

Get the pork belly bites appetizer.
They also have a pretty good whiskey selection.

What Rouge said. Delta Blue's is not terrible, but Killin's in Pearland is well worth a trip. It's won several awards for
BBQ in Texas. I truly believe that the pork ribs are the best I've ever had, and there's nothing that's bad, although I would skip the smoked sausage. If you've got the inclination to drop some $$$$ and happen to be there on the right day, the Wagyu burnt ends are quite the experience.
