Love this show and decided I wanted to try this with a bunch of our friends. Not familiar with many hot sauces. Any recommendations?

Hot ones? They’re doing a game show on trutv I saw. The best I’ve had from their lineup is torchbearer garlic reaper. Thought about getting the last dab but not sure I want that yet I love spicy but that shite is just too much

Hot Ones? Yes, it’s a great show. You can easily get the sauces from the show through Amazon and Heatonist.com

The Last Dab is bearable if you precede it with Da Bomb. That shite is as bad as it is made out to be in the show.

Nothing is worse than da bomb. That shite has no redeeming qualities.

I love spicy but want flavor too which is a difficult balance.

Eating a lot of yellowbird habanero lately. Not too hot but tasty as F

These are my favorites from habanero heat and above. All from hot ones.

From L-R, what I use them for:

1. Sandwiches or dip for fries/tots
2. Tacos. Mainly added to liquid to braise meat for taco/burrito bowls
3. Ramen or anything that could use umami
4. Similar to 2, but I use it when I need good flavored heat. Great when I order Indian spicy and they give me medium :( or if I want more heat in my salsa and I don't have more peppers.
5. Soups, gumbo, anything I want to add heat to but taste good.
6. Wings. I mix with a classic buffalo sauce to make a great tasting wing sauce.

That's too many hot sauces even to me.

If you picked 1 of those, which would be it be as you most versatile?

Sounds like 4/5 from your descriptions? I use Yellowbird on rice and tacos and eggs

I have more.

Hmmm. Out of those to pick one, probably the last dab because it has the most neutral flavor. It's just basically the flavor of the pepper whereas the others have extras.

Yeah those are all pretty versatile so I just use whichever one fits the best with what I'm cooking or eating.

my wife came up with an Advent calendar for me this Christmas that had a different hot sauce every day of Advent. of those, these are my favorites thus far (haven't tried all of them yet)...
