Smitty's may have had more of an effect on Hooters before it closed. Closer in proximity and much better wings.

back in the day, Hooters was the only place I can remember in Lafayette to get wings. Not long after BWW, WingStop, and Twin Peaks entered the market which affected Hooters. Smitty's opened around 2014 and had a great atmosphere with solid wings and burgers. Pretty sure Craig's lease had expired during the COVID time (2020) so he moved to the old, vacant KFC on Amb Caffery. 4 months after Smitty's shut down for good, Craig passed away as he was 61 yrs old. Good dude as I miss Smitty's.

Wow what year was this? Seems hard to believe in a good sized town with a university.

When is the last time anyone saw an actual hot girl working in a Louisiana Hooters?

The one in Denham seems to have some cute girls on the occasion that we have been over the years.
The boss lady prefers their chipotle honey sauce to just about all other wing places.
