Bus, I'm in the same boat as you. I got through the following, but felt like I would die on the scene if I got all 11 cracklin options:

1. Pig Latin - A little heavy on the seasoning, but maybe because the others were so underseasoned.
2. Tailgating Tigers - Good texture, just a little bag for $7 and underseasoned.
3. Deadpork - I like what they were going for with the crawfish boil, but they overthought it. Didn't live up to the description.
4. Notorious P.I.G. - Friday night they were just way, way overdone. HARD AS A ROCK.

I was in line for MOP at 2pm Satuday when they said they would be ready. At the front of the line they said come back in 30 minutes, then by the time I got back they were out.

Joke or not there's probably a lot of truth to it unfortunately.

There was an ATM right next to the top up booth. If they're too stupid to figure that out then I really feel sorry for them.

If I would have been told topping up with cash worked guess what I would have done?

I was simply told “the system seems to be down”

I still don’t really get the back and forth here their system fricked up and it screwed some people over. It doesn’t mean they are awful humans but it doesn’t mean the people who are upset hate kids with cancer

Why are we blaming the victims here? The people at the top up stations didn't tell people with wristband issues to go see customer service or to use the ATM and incur fees to get cash to top up.

Kinda off topic but I stopped at Kartchner's Grocery in Krotz Springs on my way home yesterday and got a scoop of cracklins. I would put those up against anybody else's for sure.

I'm not blaming victims. I'm laughing at the lack of personal responsibility.

Hopefully your lending institution refunds these anyway

But he spoke with several employees there and no one informed him of the customer service tent that could alleviate the issues.

When the person running the top up booth says “frick man I’m sorry. The system is down and we aren’t sure what to do”

What personal responsibility am I the consumer failing. Please explain

If you're having a serious issue at a festival I would suggest not trying to solve it by speaking only to people with a "volunteer" shirt on. Just saying. Try to find the higher ups.

On par with getting mad that Walmart employees are useless.

Honestly if he had posted in this thread while it was happening there is a good chance I would have given him that advice. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

Weren't the systems down there due to lack of service? But he's gonna have service to start a thread about it?

Everyone has their limits, you went to yours. I'm not blaming you for not knowing the solution to your problem. I'm laughing because you gave up so quickly.

Think two different services. It seems most people still had internet access via their phone. I didn't take a poll though.

Yeah...I honestly don't know the full ins and outs of how the bands work but it seems the problem was with internet connectivity. That's probably why they weren't able to process credit card transactions to the bands but they could cash. The band reader was plugged into a laptop at the top up station and when you paid cash I assume it just loaded it "locally" onto the band without having to require internet. Seems like the band maybe stores the info on the band itself after that.

This event is a disaster

Wristbands for pretty much everyone aren’t showing the correct balance
I posted while out there. This was after talking to multiple people at the even as well, as well as two different top up booths in charge of loading the money

I posted that because I thought it would help someone respond. However, the people who responded said they were also having issues

We never had an issue with anyone’s wristband not having money. this was my first year on a team and I had a blast out there.

The absolute worst part of the weekend was cleaning up in the cold and windy rain yesterday morning. That shite was miserable.

I spent in total a little over an hour out there. The top up booth lines I went to, both had around a 30 minute line due to all the issues

Several teams went to higher ups about the band top up issues and whether we could take cash. Were told they were trying to resolve the issues, but no mention of telling people to use cash or that it could be fixed at customer service.
