Anyone know the name of the hidden Chinese place thats in the sketchy motel?
Apparently you walk into the motel and behind a random door is the best Chinese place in town.
I hear it's really really good but no one I've talked to knows exactly what it is but have only heard of it.

Lucky Palace. My parents love that place. I think the owner got really sick recently and may not be running it anymore. Hopefully that did not change the quality.

Yea it's in a motel in the heart of bossier in not the best area, use to be really good. Haven't ate there in a while, they do deliver.

Lucky palace. It's not a sketchy motel, just a cheap one. And the restaurant is very clearly advertised.

Its sketchy as hell.
When I went they were using an open room as the rest room. Dirty as shite, but the food was good.

Everyone should experience the gem that is lucky palace - it really is fantastic. Prepare to enter another dimension once you leave the motel lobby and enter the restaurant.
And yes, the motel is shady. They have signs saying no back/in parking so they can easily read the plates in the lot. Some characters can be seen in the motel lobby as well.

Be sure to order something outside of the normal realm of Chinese standards. The food is amazing. Check out the wine list too, he regularly wins Wine Spectator awards.
Salt and Pepper Ribs for an app.

I've actually never eaten at Lucky Palace but have always heard good things. Those that have eaten there, any standout dishes? And yes, they supposedly have one of the best selections of wine in the SB area.

Just enter the main door and walk through the lobby. You'll see the doors to the restaurant.
The lunch menu is just ordinary Chinese fare. Dinner is when they serve the nice stuff. Duck, prawns, lamb, steak, all good.

Lucky Palace menu
They have a lot of items on their menu that you don't see at other Chinese restaurants. Most of the vegetarian items are really good.
Walking in is always an adventure. You sometimes have to cut your way through the nicotine cloud as you enter through the motel lobby. Once inside, its like a sanctuary from the sketchiness of the motel.
I like their sauteed green beans, edamame/cabbage, pork/cabbage soup, northern style duck on steamed buns, Singapore noodles.

CSB, but met John Besh one time and he raved about Lucky Palace and the wine. Sadly, never was able to get around to going there.

Lim is doing better and making back to the restaurant...the food quality has not suffered. Been going there for close to 20 years now. I'm not a big vegetable person, so I normally get a chicken dish(ask for white meat) with fried rice...all of his sauces are excellent(sesame, orange, general tso and sweet & sour). My wife likes the Hunan chicken or garlic chicken. His beef & broccoli is very good as well...meat is very tender.
Like someone mentioned the ribs are a good appetizer along with his spring rolls or crab Rangoon. Sit at the bar and have a cocktail or two before you eat....he travels the country for his wines and has one of the collections anywhere.
