Does anyone have some heavy, heavy duty oven mitts they would recommend? I'm tired of the crappy ones you get at the grocery store that will allow your hand to get burned after holding a pot/cookie sheet after a few seconds.

Any links would be greatly appreciated.

I keep a pair of leather welding gloves in the kitchen. A pair near the grill and fireplace outside also. Probably less than $20 per pair.

Silicon lined gloves

Those are solid. I use a grillmate glove.

I have Silicon fire proof BBQ gloves that I've used for everything from Crawfish books to picking up hot coals out of the grill without a problem.

Maybe get some grilling gloves. A pair of mine is good to 800-900f.

Get these and save a lot of money. I use these when I smoke meats, fry turkeys and for the oven. They have a lining and are easy to clean - they are like a non-stick frying pan on the outside.

I use those black gloves for smoking, and they are great. Good for pulling pork butts too.

I wish someone would make a decent potholder that is just a square. I have some old ones that look like shite, but they beat the hell out of what is on the market these days. The new ones just don't block the heat.

I just use Williams-Sonoma mitts and pot holders

They look nice and I can't feel any heat

I have a pair of 'OVE gloves that are a few years old.
Can grab boiling pots of pasta, or pans, dishes out the oven
Just don't use them wet, they will steam and that'll burn.
If they get dirty just toss them in the washer and dry.
Wouldn't use anything else.
