Yea.. I work out and run every day, so calorie and protein/carbs/fats ratio requirements are different.

For pasta sauces, my personal favorite is butternut squash. I find it's less watery and pretty much tasteless. I've been wanting to try those Japanese shirataki noodles...forget what exactly they are made of but they are supposed to be a good replacement for pasta and 0 calories, 0 carbs. Just hard to find around here.

ETA: I have high hopes for parsnip too since I think they are similar to carrots. Not as much water in them as zucchini.

The only squash I don't hate. I only have cooked it baked with Ghee and Cinnamon though. Last night with baked crappie as a matter of fact.

It has to be cooked to oblivion and hidden well with lots of other stuff. Having it tonight in some Buffalo Chicken casserole.
