Don’t usually buy them at the grocery.
I guy I worked with gets them somewhere down Chauvin ways.
I usually get a qt zip lock bag. Last awhile.
The potato stew with dried shrimp is hard to beat.

Commercial dried shrimp aren’t dried outside in the US.....hasn’t been done that way for decades. Shrimp drying is done in big industrial sized dehydrating units, with the shells tumbled off post drying. Just takes a few hours.

I like them as a snack. I eat one, then I toss one to the cat. We both enjoy them.

The powdered dried shrimp make a nice sprinkle for a thai style green mango salad.

I throw a pack in shrimp and corn soup, and gumbo.
