Or just eat them like an ice cream treat.

I love bananas but every time I buy a few I get fruit flies in my kitchen. So now I only buy 1 with the intent of eating it right away.

I buy about 25-30 bananas a week. Started with my daughter when she was approaching her first birthday, almost 7 years ago. She was a picky eater, and didn't like milk. We were trying to find something she would eat that was healthy. I ended up making a batch of smoothies with bananas, yogurt, and juice. She loved it. Now my son is 2 and he loves them. I put 6-8 in a batch, with a 32 oz tub of greek yogurt, and some V8 juice. I make 3-4 batches a week. One night several years ago I was at the grocery store for a late night smoothie supply run, and all I had was about 30 bananas and some tubs of yogurt. The girl looked at me kind of funny, and I just told her I had a pet monkey and needed to stock up.

I use a banana, frozen strawberries, honey from my wifes bee hives, splash of orange juice and ice. maybe a little yogurt.

My wife makes one with powdered milk - good but I don't know the recipe.

I'm eating one now at my desk while I work and check this thread.

My daughter dipped two in melted chocolate last night and they are in the freezer. Might piss her off if I eat one.

I go to Kenya every couple of years as part of a surgical mission team and usually eat a metric ton of bananas there. Small delicious, much more flavor than the monoculture ones we usually get from central america.

Try it with almond milk. I make one every morning...ice for a base, cup of almond milk, 1/4 cup of OJ, cut up a banana, strawberries, blueberries, and fresh honey. Very tasty and healthy.

I love frozen bananas in a smoothie though. They really help the smoothie's texture.

if you don't like the taste of bananas. Avocados have a similar effect on smoothies

I have several banana trees in my back yard. I make banana nut bread weekly. It's my favorite fruit by far.
