Any year—would you recommend it?

We have a bottle of the 12 year.

It's nothing special but it's not terrible. Pretty straight forward example of a no-frills Highland Single Malt. For $50 it's a decent entry-level scotch but, for a few dollars more, you can have better.

I have had all of them up to 40 year... really good and very underrated

“I’ll have a Scotch on the rocks, please. Any Scotch will do, as long as it’s not a blend, of course. Single malt. Glenlivet, Glenfiddich perhaps, Glen Galley, any Glen.”
I have not tried Glenfarclas.
