Has anyone bought elk steak? Recommendations?

I'd be interested in opinions as well. Online prices seem to vary wildly. I really enjoy elk, and I'd love to try moose. Unfortunately, you can't really find moose anywhere for sale in the U.S. Everyone I know that has tried both prefers moose.

I'd take moose over elk, or beef. My BiL killed one once. We had a moose roast and several moose burgers. Wonderful stuff.

I had some great elk filet in the mountains of Colorado, cooked over an open fire a couple of hours after that elk was walking around looking for pussy on the mountain. Best steak i've ever had.
Unfortunately i haven't had that taste again for 3 years, but hoping i will this fall.
