I am coming into town for a convention tomorrow and wanna hit some happy hour specials in the evening. What are the best spots for apps and drinks during the week there?

Definitely gotta hit Lucy’s retired surf bar. As far as happy hour goes not sure but plenty of great restaurants with bars in that area. What hotel?

You could also stop in Auction House market at Magazine and Julia. It's a new food hall. The bar in the center has a happy hour during the week.

The Auction House Market really seems interesting. Anything else you can tell me about it, or any suggestions as to what I should try there?

Wife and I went a few weeks ago. Got margaritas (it was cinco) which were pretty solid. As far as food we got some empanadas and also a crab cake both of which were pretty good. Food wont be like amazing but its a solid all around place with a lot of options.
