Anyone have any experience or recs on brands? No idea where to start. There are plenty on amazon from $30 up to >$100. Any recs appreciated.

Atlas is a standard brand.

If you have a kitchen aid mixer.look for the attachments that connect to the front. Already has a motor and can save you money buying more attachments versus buying a separate pasta machine.

Get an Atlas with a motor. Thank me later. It makes doing this easier.

Yes, get a motorized one. Hand cranked requires three hands....so you need another person to do it easily. The KA rollers and cutters work well, so do the rollers for the Ankarsrum.

I have the Marcato Atlas 150..have had it for several years...never had a problem operating it myself.

Took me a long time to justify the cost. Now that I have it, I can’t imagine how I’d posdibly do it with a hand cranker.
