Have you been to an airport recently?

Travel demand has increased exponentially with more people driving, flying, spending on hotels/rental cars and restaurants than ever before.

Asking Lester Earl to stop being a douchebag is like asking a priest to stop being Catholic!

I think they simply charged too much for their food.

Besides fast food, there is that Chilis that’s been there since they built that shopping center. I guess carettas has to be considered a chain. Besides that I’m having trouble of thinking of any more chain restaurants in town.

So what are you talking about?

I didn't know that Luke Hidalgo sold the place. He was a talented chef. He did our Chef's Table at Commanders and it was incredible. Curious to know where he wound up.

He’s a home inspector now, or at least was pursuing that after they sold. Seems it was too demanding for their family life, so his wife started focusing on her real estate career, then they found who they thought was the right buyer and got out all together.

I’m also noticing the same thing at McLains. Menu keeps getting downsized, prices are insane, and service is no longer a priority.

I go regularly. Never looked at their menu. Just order my cheese pizza. Always good and McLain chats me up with good service.

I went there two weeks ago mid-day. Walked upstairs and sat for awhile... server came out twice to get a table next to me.

Walked inside to the counter and two people working there didn't even look at me. I asked if I could get a server and one of them walked away and started doing table stuff.

I asked the other if I could get a pizza and she just looked at me.

Weirdest experience of my life.

I've been there 50 times over and never had that.

Won't ever go back.

Yeah, unfortunately I agree. Used to be our favorite place on the Lake. Don’t plan on going back.

Kinda weird to entirely write off a place that you've been to 50 times because of one random bad experience that didn't involve bodily fluids in your food.

You order at the counter and they bring you your food. I bet the servers thought you already ordered.

So you’ve been there 50 times and it was fine. And this happens one time and that’s it? Lol

You should at least know a manager or server or something if you’ve been there 50 times.

They sold their house. His wife is a realtor and they built a log cabin in folsom and live there. pretty simple life. i think they just needed a break. That restaurant wore them slap out.
