I am thinking about opening a Ground Pati in Baton Rouge. Where would you like it to be? How do you think it will do?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I will support you.
Prairieville, next to the new Neighbors FCU being built alongside that huge area of land that is currently not developed.

Two have already failed here. Why would this one succeed?

Meh. Give me a burger from Akasha any day of the week over GP

There was a 3rd one on Ardenwood, but that may have just been a relocate to where one of the other 2 were.
I've always loved Ground Pati, and would definitely support another. Coursey Blvd, somewhere between Sherwood & Jones Creek would be nice.

My guess is that you know that, and this is a "wish", an intellectual "toy", you're playing with. You're also too smart to do this. If you want a franchise, find one on the way up. And, that's NOT Ground Pati.
As they say, free advice, and worth every penny.
Only the best of luck to you.

I'm guessing the areas around the Ardenwood & Sherwood changing for the worse may have had something to do with those closings. As for the one on Jefferson Hwy, IDK.
The GP's were around for many years, so it's not like they were a major fail. As much as I'd personally like to have another GP, I agree that that's probably not the franchise you'd want to open in BR.

I'd frequent it. The Prairieville location mentioned earlier would be good...just stay away from the Siegen/Bluebonnet/Jones Creek areas.

didnt champs just close? that location would be awesome, but idk that you would be able to swing that rent. also, the place smelled putrid last time i went. who knows what kind of problems they have at that spot. nevermind. it was a horrible suggestion.

email me some information at lsuguy24@GMAIL.COM
I am interested but I am also listening to what you all are saying. I was thinking about the Bluebonnet/Burbank area. The soccer fields are always full, the La Carreta is always full and there are no other burger restaurants with the exception of Brew Bachers that are remotely close to the area.

My vote would be on Millerville. I am not sure if they have any site pads infront of Lowes, Target, BestBuy and that Chilis next to the pet store blows. I would think between the Lowes and Target you could end up with some decent foot traffic.

Are the BR rights to GP open, or does Paul up in Colo, still own them? I would think BR is an open landscape.
I think a GP if very properly located, aka somewhere between College on into LSU areas, would do well..burgers, beers, dry roasted peanuts. Would probably need to expand the menu beyond the one it was in years past..times change.
I personally enjoyed GP much better than my many trips to Five Guys in multiple states..for better atmosphere, peanuts, and burger..though GP doesn't do hot dogs and 5G does a really good one.
