Got the wok out last night..

..for the first time in half a year. Used to stir fry all the time and got out of the habit.
I had a pound of large shrimp in the fridge and didn't want to go back to the usual boil, fry or grill.
So, I noticed a cup of leftover peas/carrots from the side dish I made the day before. I made a cup of rice on the firm side (that's a cup after it's cooked, not while raw).
I've always got a bottle of Kikoman sauce for marinades in the fridge... you can use Terryaki spicy miso (like I did yesterday) of any thick terryaki or stir fry sauce.
I drizzled some olive oil in the wok on medium-high heat, threw in the shrimp for 1/2 minute, the peas/carrots for 1/2 minute, then rice and sauce for a minute. Add red pepper to taste (the salt is in the sauce) reduce heat to really low and cover to allow steaming for a minute or two.
It was great. If you used to wok and stopped, get that sucker out of the cabinet and give it a try.

Awesome! My wife got me a wok a month or so ago and I have no idea what to do with it.
Thanks for the recipe.

Stir fry is great. You don't need a wok unless you're going to really turn up the heat though.
