I add bitters to my basic bourbon drinks. Lately that's been bourbon/bitters/LaCroix peach pear.

Sazerac but I don't know what combo of those I'd use.

Pour 1/2 oz of pernod absinthe and some club soda and ice in a glass and let it sit.

The drink (separate glass)
3/4 oz simple syrup
2 1/2 oz rye whiskey
6-7 dashes Angostura and 6-7 dashes of peycheauds
Stir.

Pour out contents of first glass and then add the second cup into the first one and top with a lemon twist

look up the best drink bars in big cities and peruse their drink lists ... they usually have the ingredients ... you'll get more than the usual suspects ...

You are right about that but there is some real talent in here with making drinks and wanted to hear what they hear they had to say too.

Thanks for the responses. The citrus bitter threw me off, not sure what to do with that one.

Bourbon, grapefruit bitters, simple syrup, splash of water, a sprig of rosemary and grapefruit peel rubbed on the rim. Good shite, they serve it at Balise in nola but i forget what they called it.

If you or your wife enjoy champagne:

Fill a champagne flute 2/3 of the way with champagne then add a half oz of St Germain, 2-3 dashes of bitters (I use Angostura) and a twist of lemon. Nice change up from a regular glass of champagne.
