Reservations at Clancy's are at 8:30. Think we'll be able to make it to the Ritz in time to catch Davenport (I see that he starts at 9)?

Definitely. He's usually still playing in there around midnight.

That "start time" is quite fluid.

Definitely. This show doesn't usually end until 12-1 a.m.

Also consider the Bombay Club in the French Quarter. Not sure who is playing that night but Luther Kent sings there often on weekend nights. It's basically a vodka/martini lounge. Pretty cool local spot.

For lunch, these would be my suggestions:
(1) Butcher in the warehouse district.
(2) Rio Mar tapas
(3) Parkway Bakery in mid-city (in fact this would probbaly be my top choice)
(4) St. James Cheese Co.
