Good experience at Cafe Degas

had brunch there this last weekend. I wasnt expecting much but i thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was executed perfectly food wise.
i dont think ive seen it mentioned here much before so thought id just chime in and give it some credit. thats all.

Been a great restaurant for along time. Nice owners as well.

had to edit to say wasnt expecting much. i just hadnt heard much about it and never here. mostly picked it because of a billboard lol. wasnt expecting a bad experience either. so i was very pleasantly surprised.

Cafe Degas is awesome.
Not sure what you got but the liver and onions are $$, French Onion Soup, escargots , pate , hanger steak .. never had a bad meal there.

the waiter combined the cheese and meat plates into one for me and the wife.
i was torn between the liver option or the grilades with grits. I went with the later. Grits, gravy, pork all perfect. i will do liver next time
wife got a crab cake benedict special. two generous cakes, 2 eggs. cakes were meaty, poached eggs perfect. hollandaise was perfect.
split a pistachio banana bread type cake with buttercream frosting. also perfect.
i walked away full and happy.

I've had many meals there, and never a bad one. I agree, the liver is great, as is that board. I'm not big on mussels but I know many others rave about them.

Love this place. I've had many meals here and never a bad one. Service always great too.
