Ladies and Gentlemen, I am reaching out because this board has never let me down when I’ve asked for recommendations.

My oldest daughter will be at LSU starting this month. She eats a plant based diet (vegan).

What are some food establishments around Baton Rouge, whether restaurants or fast food, that have decent vegan options?

They don’t have to be solely vegan, and she’s not one of those a-hole vegans who gets upset at the sight of someone eating meat. She sits at the table while I eat a bloody rare steak. It’s just a choice she’s made, so any recommendations of places with good options for that diet would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

I’m not vegan, but my friend who is tends to go to Mediterranean restaurants here that offer lots of options. Albasha and Serop’s are her favorites, and not too far from campus.

I’ve never been there but I’ve heard it’s good:

MJs Cafe

If she likes Mexican
Modesto is close to campus and has vegan options

And Umami is also close to campus and has vegan options

There’s also an Einstein Bros. bagel place in the student union

After your necessary downvote, I will tell you that this place is legit.

They also have meat options if you're forced to join her: Bldg 5

She does cook. She’s taken some of my cooking philosophies and incorporated vegan stuff as best she can. However, I’m asking about restaurant suggestions.

I hope your parents’ internet is going well and they don’t kick you out of the house.
