Just got back from there. The two places we enjoyed the most:

1) BillyGail's Café for breakfast. Somewhat touristy but good food with large portions and reasonable prices. Cash only.

2) Flat Creek Restaurant for catfish, chicken, etc. A little out of town but a nice ride down country roads with great views. The apps, catfish and desserts were all good. Large portions and again, very reasonably priced.

The Keeter Center has good everything. I highly recommend eating there. The waiters and waitresses are students putting themselves through Hard Work U.

Gotta get some Andy's Frozen Custard while you are in Branson (its a chain, ignore this recommendation if you have them in your area).

Might want to avoid bringing the kids to Lambert's in Ozark for awhile.

You may be a few weeks early, but if you see and fruit stands in northern Arkansas, below the Missouri line with "Arkansas Black Apples" buy some to take home with you. It is an excellent Apple that is hard to find elsewhere.

May not be picking them before October, but you never know. It could happen early this year. We usually find the weekend of the War Eagle Craft Festival - an excellent "vendors by invitation only" arts and crafts festival
