I forgot to mention the deli counter at Ralph's Supermarket. They have delicious shrimp fettucine and other good stuff. The best selection is at lunch. I think the menu is limited in the evening.

Sorry, I typed the wrong thing. I meant Crazy Cajun. It's on Airline in Gonzales. I've never been but I've heard it decent.

Sorry, I put it in the wrong place. Man, y'all don't miss anything, huh? I put in about 20 restaurants and you pick the 2 I messed up on.

make that 3 things. Hoagies and Deaux are shutdown now. I am not sure exactly when they closed the doors, but I noticed it a few weeks back. Too bad, I really liked that cajun poboy they had. Also, one of only two places in Pville that delivered anytihng.

Try the Mexican resturant on Burnside, the old Pearls bar, I think the name is El Gurrero or somthing like that, looks kinda of scary and never too busy, but the inside is very clean and food is much better than el meskal. The salsa is fresh homemade with a good Chili flavor, I get the chicken burito for lunch (huge) and I think it is $4.50

Well I didn't know that but I'm not surprised. I ate there once and not only was the service horrible but I thought I was going to be sick the rest of the day.

I will now stop listing restaurants b/c I suck.

WALNUT MALTS!!!!

I love the damn things. Since Griffin Grill has opened I have gone there to get them. Mainly because it is closer, but also because BD hasn't come into the new century and bought a credit card machine. Hell, I will pay 1.00 more if I can use my credit card.

If you are waiting on that to happen at BD, you are waiting for hell to frreze over. Frank runs Griffin Grill and still goes over to BD every morning to prepare the chili and hamburger patties.

He's the only entrepreneurial one of the three siblings.

guess it is good for his location not to have a card machine at airline. also, you can actually eat inside and don't have to order with you eyes closed at Griffin Grill.

Not surprised, places in the P'Ville are struggling b/c the rent is so high for those places. Gauthreaux's Lawn and Garden opened up a place and they closed it after a few month's, same as Kirk's.
