I go there about once or twice maybe three times a year cause there's one close to me. Their fried chicken is pretty good.
I'm a people watcher, so I mainly go there to watch all types of people interact. I just love when people walk around the buffet eating what they just put on their plate and then lick their fingers before they get a scoop of mashed potatoes.
Mexicans (and there are plenty in Texas) LOVE Golden Corral. They consider it a fine steakhouse....

I refer to it as Golden Sewage. Right after you eat there, you have to drive home to take a crap!

I'm actually impressed at the quality of food they give you for under $10. I wouldn't even try about half the stuff I saw when I went, but some food works in a buffet setting, especially a busy buffet with high turnover.

I cannot understand why that place gets so much business, while Bay Leaf, next door, doesn't. Bay Leaf is so much better and only a little bit more expensive for an AYCE buffet.
