Thanks for all the replies, we have a house rented in Old Algiers so gonna make the best of it with some first timers to the area

Why is it weird? It a couple blocks from the ferry and there are 8 of us going and wanted to all stay together.

I just never think of people staying on the Westbank. Old Algiers is nice but having to take the ferry or drive the bridge anytime you want to do anything would seem like a pain in the arse. There really aren't much in the way of restaurants over there with bars shut down.

I like Old Algiers, its where my dad's people are from and I've spent a lot of time over there. If you guys are all much older it will be quiet and nice.
