Is that why he went in the complete opposite way of the thread. Mentioning Vodak in a Gin thread?

Gin martini is redundant, a martini is always made with gin. Vodka martini is something else, but the term makes it easy for people to understand what you want.

Grew up on Beefeaters, there may be 'better' and more expensive, but that's what I like.

Although I prefer a vodka martini, andouille is correct as to both assertions, even his opinion concerning Beefeaters.

Ivanabitch's gin also makes a good martini.

Cubic zirconia is a more appropriate description of Bombay than is Sapphire.

Actually, not a bad gin at all. Very good buy for the money.

But I do like Hendricks.

I quit drinking gin years ago because it really did seem to make me a little crazy. But then this young woman client took me out drinking after work and got me to dry gin again (Hendricks as it happens). If she hadn't been so damned hot I would have declined but I didn't want to be a pussy. Anyway, I enjoy gin again. When I start back drinking (Sept 15) I think gin will be the first thing I go for.
