Had a big boil this weekend and after picking crabs I had about a half gallon bag of claws. Can I freeze and put in a gumbo when I make or even defrost and put in a dip or gumbo

Of course you can. I’d pick the meat first if you already have not.

Yes, pick them before freezing as it will be a huge PITA to do it after freezing.

I think you'll also want to cover the meat in water before freezing to preserve the texture.

I’ve heard skim milk works great…but never tried it.

Leave them as claws and freeze them, you don't need to pick the meat. Vacuum seal is best

How easy is it to vacuum seal claws? Seems like they would puncture through the bag.

Use 2 bags if you're worried.
