Fried green tomatoes coated with Louisiana Fish Fry

Will make you slap yo momma. I put my slices in a bowl of ice water for about five minutes before frying them. Shake off the excess water, give it a good cover of meal only and fry them until the middle is soft. I use a toothpick to test them with. Salt and pepper them to your liking.

Same with squash and eggplant. Louisiana Fish Fry is good stuff.

Port City BBQ serves a fried green tomato topped with pimento cheese with their meat plates- I don't generally love fried green tomatoes, but there's are pretty awesome.

I get the cajun blend LFF and it doesn't need anything. I fried maters last week and publix had LFF for $1 a bag.


ETA: Their cobbler mix is pretty good for an easy desert too.
