I've mentioned these Fresh Market $20 meal deals for 4 before, but it seems like a good product to mention again since a lot of our favorite restaurants are closed.

These meals come with everything you need already prepped and ready to go in the pot.

This week, the special is Chicken Stir Fry. It comes with 1 1/2 lbs of chicken breast strips, miscellaneous chopped vegetables, stir fry sauce, rice, and a side of chicken pot stickers.

I added peanuts, garlic, and crushed red pepper, although I didn't need to. We saved the pot stickers for tomorrow and had about 2/3 of a bag of rice left over.

A disclaimer - I have 2 kids who work part time at Fresh Market, so I shop there regularly and get a discount. The meal deal costs me $16.

Over rice.

Most of their $20 meals are solid solid.

They are a lot of food for the money. They are easy to modify by adding ingredients. Good value and with restaurants shut down, they are easy to do on a weeknight.

A long time ago I for some reason thought Fresh Market was for granola loving tree huggers. But in my opinion I’ve learned how to shop that store where I can afford it and the quality of their meat and meals is outstanding. I love their $20 meals when I’m too busy or tired to cook. Their paninis are also very good right along with their ready to cook chicken, pork or beef offerings. I love those various chicken roll ups and that pecan crusted pork chop.

Every Tuesday the store by my house sells their fresh in store ground hamburger meat and boneless chicken breast for $2.99 LB. Sometimes they offer thighs instead of breast which I prefer.

Fresh Market is a little expensive but if you shop their weekly meat specials you can find good deals. Occasionally they will sell whole USDA Premium Choice New York Strips and Tenderloins for $6.99 to $7.99 LB. Their butchers cut it up right in front of you to your specifications. I recently bought two of those strips and got 24 1-1/4” steaks. They will wrap your meat in freezer paper but I vacuum seal my steaks. I also love when they put their bacon on sale. That’s some good bacon and I usually buy a whole 15 LB box and vacuum seal it into 1 LB packages. I like when fresh Alaskan salmon is in season and it hasn’t been frozen. They offer 3-4 various species of salmon over the course of the Alaskan summer. If you shop Fresh Markets specials they are just as competitive as any supermarket with far superior meat.

The vegies come recut on a styrofoam tray wrapped in plastic wrap, but the veggies are not mixed up in the package, it's easy to pull out the veggies you don't like.

One other thing: you can substitute spring rolls for pot stickers and/or cauliflower rice for regular rice.
