I always buy a head or two when I'm at the grocery store, but just harvested my first ever crop from the garden (plus some puny shallots that didn't work out nearly as well as the garlic). I'll be interested to see how much I use in a year so I know how much to plant next year, and to see if it holds up all year without any problems.

I always use fresh garlic, and I use a garlic press
ETA: I also with mince with a knife if needed. It really depends on the dish.
