OP
So I have a jar of whole fig preserves and I want to make turnovers like I had as a child. I made up some cajun sweet dough and refrigerated it overnight. I need help with the filling. Do I somehow chop the figs in this preserve? Do I need to 'cook' the preserve down or otherwise do anything to it?
I don't plan on egg washing the turnovers and I want mine to be 1/2 rounds with fork marks closing the curved edge.
Thanks for nothing...
Specific answer is that I cut up the preserves. Before:

Love the stove, but that backsplash makes my eyes hurt.

Was just thinking that exact same thing!

It's only caused two people to have seizures so far...but I think if you don't try to focus on it while you move around the kitchen you'd be alright.

Nice
Looks great
Never saw your other post, but it looks like you needed no advice from us.
Can't believe anyone had anything negative to say about your kitchen after the kitchen photos I have seen on here. Besides, I have seen photos of it in the past and thought it looked nice the last time I saw it.
Counter clips to hold wax paper in place are a good idea.

My boy never passes up an opportunity to show us that goofy-arse backsplash.
