Had to get cans for a buddy from Vitamin Sea this weekend. Saw they had a Trillium collab, so I figured, screw it, I’ll give it a whirl. Brought one to work to crack with my coworkers and they said, “Oh, awesome! You got the milkshake IPA!” So apparently milkshake IPAs are still a thing. Heavy dose of Citra hits the expected citrus profile with a little dankness, and just the slightest hint of vanilla rounds it out. It’s not bad for what it is. Body is super thick, borderline syrupy/stout-like. That’s different.

Yeah my local favorite Ingenious was big on the milkshake IPAs and that kinda slacked off but they are still putting them out. I think it’s mainly a taproom thing now. I get them on occasion.
