The Eclipse won the night.

IMO Founders BS>Terrapin WnB but it was personal preference. Terrapin had more coffee but had more bitterness BC of it. Founders was much smoother.

I can't wait to try that one.

If there's a FBD bottle share at some point, I have a couple limited release barrel aged Texas beers set aside for the BA fans.

No beer today. Got a friend from work headed to Memphis this weekend any good brews I can get him to pick up for me that y'all know of?

The Memphis beer scene is very disappointing. Yazoo and New Belgium are the only two off the top of my head that you can't get in Louisiana. Have your buddy go by Buster's on Poplar Ave. There may be some I'm not thinking of.

But was it a Maven blind tasting?

I agree with your assesment, if not your preference though. The Terrapin had way more coffee and just smelled so much more robust. I think that had a lot to do with why I liked it so much.

I thought the nose on the terrapin was amazing, though the taste was too bitter and i felt like their were coffee grounds on my tongue. Founders was perfect imo.

Neither came close to the eclipse though, best barrel aged beer ive ever had.

All of these RIS beers I've been having and coffee stouts makes me want to brew one. Seems like wrong weather and all that but damn they're sooo good.
