Thanks a ton... you know Van Oesten? I understand you can't disclose too much...

Russell still may do the surgery. We aren't sure yet.

Good People DIPA that Coater passed on to me that I'm supposed to share with the group from around here.

I'll have to try and find some when I'm in Alabama in 2 weeks.

Did you find one? Or better yet two? One for some random fellow on the interwebs.

Also, is that wine shop that opened up by Lee circle a couple of months ago carrying anything of note? Says they carry craft beer but they don't list them and I'm afraid they mean we carry abita.

Keife & Co. They've been open for almost a year now it seems. Fantastic wine selection. Very diverse and plenty of bottles under $20 that are killer. Jim and John are good guys and really good at their jobs. It's my favorite wine shop in the city by far. The whiskey/scotch/other liquor selection is really solid, but wine is at the forefront here.

Beer selection consists of some Clown Shoes, a couple of random French beers, a Belgian or two, PBR, Southern Star .. that's about it. Interested to try a couple of farmhouse ales I've seen in there but just haven't pulled the trigger.

Yea, I got the last two bottles. Our allocation here in Colorado got cut in half so Tejas could get theirs. I love FW Barrel aged beers. I think they do it better than anyone else and it $14 a bottle it is a great value.

OBD was. Tin Roof Juke Joint IPA with a dozen oysters at The Chimes much earlier. Gotta slow down the weeknight beer consumption.

Cost of living is just more here for the most part. Not necessarily gouging. $25 is gouging...$17 or $18 is just the cost of living in SF. :whateverhelpsmesleepatnighteh:

SBD: Tall Grass IPA. I just realized it was pushed to the back. Not too fresh, but still solid. Bit malty thats for sure.

Why are you aging KBS? What don't you like about it fresh?

I don't age this, IMO the coffee gets stale and the barrel disappears after 8 months or so, then you have an expensive stout.
