Switching to NE style. Disco Ninja.

Smoking some chicken with alder. Never used it before coming to Oregon, but it's my favorite all around wood, right now. Anybody else use it?

NBD- fresh Battle Creek from Triple Crossing. Ho hum, another super solid DIPA released in Richmond.

I'll put the call out again for anyone traveling to Knoxville for the upcoming game. If anyone wants to trade I can bring some stuff over. We plan on having a decent sized group for tailgating as well so let me know and I'll make sure to hook a FBD poster up

I thought I'd seen it at Home Depot, but wasn't sure. It may be a PNW thing, since it's mainly a PNW wood.

I’ve never seen it either. Describe the taste in 10 words or greater.

Not 007. It’s not bad, a bit of dank and juice but not by any means what they are saying is a NEIPA. It’s very drinkable though and am enjoying it.

Not as strong as hickory, not as sweet as cherry. Very nice flavor and it just hits the sweet spot for me.

I got curious and Googled it. I came up with this:

Alder Wood

I have not used Alder planks. Will look for.

I usually blend those two. Maybe it would be a good happy medium

I’ll have to see if it’s available locally

SBD- If I remember right, it stands for blood orange honey mango. Damn good sour from Nola

2BD Crowd Control. It is fresher than it looks. I asked about Jucifer and the bartender said they had plenty of it, but kicked several kegs on Friday. I think I saw a few FBDers here on Friday...

Switched to red for dinner. Now, I'm switching back to beer for the rest of the night.

2BD is a Daydreaming of Indiscriminate Human Extinction by Tired Hands. This is pretty good. I wish I would've drank this earlier though.

I do that, too. Sounds you should try alder. I know you can order it online.
