We will be staying with my BIL in his hipster loft in Deep Ellum.

Know anything around there?

Braindead Brewing and Dots Hop House in Deep Ellum. And Deep Ellum brewery tap room is there but they are meh.
About a 3 minute Uber/drive is Craft & Growler at the north gates of Fair Park. They have a really great selection.

Craft and growler isn't far from there.

Braindead is a brew pub there. Solid beer and really good food.

Revolver taco is great. Pecan lodge is some of the best bbq you'll find.

Twilite is a new orleans bar that usually has music playing.

Dots hop house has a solid beer list.

Deep ellum is fun. You can walk up and down main/elm streets and a lot of places will have a band playing. Some free, some paid. Just explore and stay away from the places that look like they've been there for a year. Uptown style douche factories have been creeping in.

I didn't think my IPA glass would hold the whole pint. Maybe it would have. Its almost empty now. I'll try it next beer. Still prefer it in a glass though.

You didn't like the DDH series 6 peach? Thought it had a strange flavor. Wasn't a fan.
