1BD- Sixpoint Righteous Ale. Solid as always.
2BD- Goose Island IPA. Ok. Nothing special.
3BD- With dessert, split a Samuel Smiths organic chocolate stout with the wife. Interesting beer, almost too much chocolate for me, but she loved it.

Anybody know of any issues when bringing a couple bottles of beer back from Europe?
my dad is bringing 5-6 bottles back from Rome tomorrow. He just wrapped them in clothes. Ill let you know how it goes.

If I were planning a trip I d be a but more prepared. At minimum I'd bring ziplocks to contain any breakage.

At the extreme I'd bring. (And if I ever go to the west coast or colorado):

I was thinking maybe 4 bottles back (max.) if I find anything worth bringing back. Don't have a whole lot of extra room.

FB: RR Hill 2 Row 56 while cooking up some jambalaya. Always like to cook a big pot of something to eat for lunch during the week. Less money spent eating out = more beer money.

.

Rome Bars: My parents hit Bir & Fud. Said it was awesome beer bar with very good food. Get ready to learn the language though BC it is not a touristy place.

Open Baladin Roma - Place looks legit

Bottle shop: Bir & Fud Bottleshop and Domus Birrae. If you only hit these two places you will be very happy. They are like the Steins of Roma.

My parents also hit a place up near Bir & Fud (bar) called beerworld (or something like that) which ha a good selection but with ought the guidance of Domus or B&F Bottleshops

If I were you, I'd be on the lookout for Cantillons and 3F. Aside from that I'd ask about local craft favorites and rarities. Italy is one of the up an coming craft beer communities of the world. And they have lots of stuff that rarely hits the states.

Eta: PM me if you have any specific questions. I basically put together their beer itinerary.

There is a bar across the street owned by the same people I plan on hitting up. Might try to do both.

Will likely just go to Domus Birrae. They have Westy 12 and 8 in stock according to their website, as well as some Cantillon. We'll see. The B&F bottleshop is kinda out of the way.

There is only so much I get in with my non beer-drinking companion. She's knows a couple places are a must, though.

I've wrapped in clothes once before. Turned out fine. Not sure of the usual success rate.
